FROM CAROLINE'S DESK By Caroline Rumowicz, CEO

I realize that it has been a while since we have updated our letter, I feel that the end of the year is a good time to catch up.
Where to begin, 2008 was a crazy year, many highs and a few lows. The agency implemented a point of care system for our clinical staff January 1, 2008. This was a large undertaking for the staff, but I am happy to say that everyone is up and running and some actually like the laptops.
Unfortunately with the implementation of new technology we did lose some staff in the process. From a positive perspective, we in the office have learned to work very effeciently and effectively. Over this past summer, I became the skilled scheduler. This was probably the best thing I could have done. I have a true appreciation for the work that both the office and field staff do.
My opinion is that we are the best agency in the state, biased of course. The skilled staff and the private duty aides and homemakers are the most caring individuals. This has been echoed by client after client. Thanks to all for what you do.
Caroline
